JingXin Technology Limited, one of the leading solar-grade silicon producers, initiated its plant building today. The plant is located in Yiyang, Hunan, China, and it is one of the biggest projects in the area in 2006. The company would combine $400 million US dollars investment with its proprietary silicon technologies, and eventually expect to produce 5,000MT poly-crystalline silicon, and 2,000MT mono-crystalline silicon materials for the solar industry. This will make JingXin the biggest photovoltaic project in China.
